  • Introduction

    • Priorities for our boxing class

      1. Having fun - Having fun is super important, because if your having fun, your not gonna wanna come back and work out more

      2. Fitness - Working out, being healthy, and getting in good shape is our 2nd priority with this class

      3. Learning boxing - You will actually be learning technique, footwork, punches and skills

    Handwrap

    • How to do hand wrap:

      1. Put on pinky and behind your hand

      2. Three times around your wrist

        1. Keep hand tight and still

      3. Go from your wrist up to in between your pinky and ring finger

      4. Go back around your hand and in between your ring finger and middle finger

      5. Then go between your middle and pointer finger

      6. Go around your pinky and wrap your knuckles 3 times

      7. Finish off by crossing till you come to velcro

    Stance

    • Lefty or Righty?

      1. Imagine your on a skateboard or snowboard

      2. Runner's stance

      3. Push Test

    • Movement - Forward and Backwards

      1. Take a step forward with your front foot, the back foot follows

      2. Same applies for moving backwards, step back with you back foot, and your front foot follows

    • Practice - Forwards and Backwards

      1. Move forward 3 times

      2. Move backwards 3 times

    • Movement - Left to Right

      1. Take a step to the left

        1. Righty - Front foot first, back foot follows

        2. Lefty - Back foot first, front foot follows

      2. Back to center

      3. Take a step to the right

        1. Righty - Back foot first, front foot follows

        2.  Front foot first, back foot follows

    • Hands

      • Your hands go up by your face

      • Always have your hands up


    Warm Up

    • 25 Jumping Jacks

    • Arms Circles (boxers bounce)

      • Forwards (10 Seconds)

      • Backwards (10 Seconds)

    • Punches

      • Punch Sideways

      • Punch Up

      • Punch Down

      • Punch Up

      • Punch to the Side

    • Arms Circles (boxers bounce)

  • 6 Week Course; Every Sunday; 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

    COST: $20.00 PER LESSON; $120 for TOTAL COURSE (6 Lessons)
